We wanted to share one of our favorite projects with you.  Located in Mequon Wisconsin, the site had enormous potential and was practically a blank slate.  The photo galleries below show you some before and after photos, along with how it became a space with wonderful intimate gathering areas and natural beauty.

What makes this site so unique is the recirculating water feature that includes a naturalized stream and pond.  It was constructed using Eden Holey Boulders (which we refer to as Niagara stone) to maintain a natural look.  To add even more interest, we built a deck that overhangs the pond, bringing visitors closer to the water and allowing a “bird’s eye view” of the fish and aquatic plants inside.

A cedar shade structure built over part of the deck creates a comfortable, intimate gathering space suitable for a quiet dinner or a relaxing morning coffee.  The Clematis vines soften the area making it feel even more cozy.

The existing walks were replaced with brick walks constructed using Belden Belcrest 350 clay pavers and a beautiful transition to the pool area was created using Eden Lily Pad limestone steps.

Some of the plantings include Pagoda Dogwood, Cranberry Cotoneaster, Daylilies and Purple Coneflower.  The planting area even includes a garden that fits the naturalized style of the landscape.

Low voltage landscape lighting adds elegance and beauty, and accents the landscape during the evening hours.
